Monica Price based in the West Midlands has always written for her own enjoyment and in 2009 wrote a poem for the short film 'Waiting In Rhyme' in a aid of Macmillan Cancer Support. The poem was performed by Susan Jameson and John Alderton about a couple coping with the husband’s Alzheimers disease. The cast  included Les Dennis, Geoffrey Hughes, Sally Lindsay, Finty Williams and Dani Harmer. The film was supported by Dame Judi Dench and Sir Roger Moore.

Following the film Monica teamed up with Martin Nigel Davey to collaborate in the stage production ‘Survivorship – To Cancer And Beyond’ in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support. Written and Produced by Monica this was a play about 5 women surviving various types of cancer and concentrated on the positive and strength of survival. The play was performed to sell out audiences in Solihull, West Midlands with an exciting cast including Finn Atkins (Eden Lake), Jean Boht (Bread), Sarah Manners (The Bill), Maggie Service (new comedy actress) and Hannah Waterman (New Tricks).  The play was supported by Dame Judi Dench and CEO Ciaran Devane of Macmillan Cancer Support.

Monica has just staged her latest production SURVIVE! in Sept 2011 at the New Alexandra Theatre, Birmingham and has received fantastic reviews. This was a story of seven peoples lives living with  cancer who find themselves waiting at a train station and are taken on a journey of a lifetime. The exciting cast included 
Jean Boht (Bread), Les Dennis (Acclaimed actor), Vicky Hall (Teachers), Guy Henry (Harry Potter), Sarah Manners (The Bill), Emma Stephens (Grease/Dreamboats & Petticoats) and Hannah Waterman (EastEnders/New Tricks) The actors were accompanied by the sensational West End Gospel Choir for a night of music and monologues.
Dame Judi Dench has become Patron of SURVIVE! and the show is planning to tour the UK in 2012. For more information please go to www.surviveshow.com
